Fire-eater

fire-eater@riseup.net is a recovering writer/student/activist living in Portland, OR.
He can be found on his day off muttering to his ducks anti-civilizational Blake and Milton passages in his garden and greenhouse.

Don’t dilute your pagan root,
With bread and wine and Sunday suit.
It’s precisely reckoned to be sure
With ritual, rank, but nothing pure.

What’s well enough is dance and fire,
Indulge in wine until you tire.
Collapse with a paramour in your tent
The last regard should be “repent”..

So dance to sun and drink to moon,
Eternity will come too soon.
So stroke Eros, and crave Tefnut,
And don’t forsake your pagan root.
